Some of the things we will be showcasing at the conference include the new Logitek JetLink software. JetLink is a new software codec solution to send broadcast quality audio from point to point. Whether you’re broadcasting a sporting event, a radio show, or you’re recording an interview for broadcast or podcast, it’s simple to send broadcast quality audio live over IP. All you need are two computers (or a computer and a mobile phone) and our software. Please visit jetlink.co for more information.

The Logitek Helix Surface Studio will also be on display. Helix is the modern new audio console from Logitek. Tap or swipe on Helix’s brilliant touchscreens to change sources, make bus assignments, or add EQ and dynamics to sweeten the mix. When your eyes need to be elsewhere while on the air, motorized faders and large on/off buttons make it easy to mix audio eyes-free.

Send And Receive Broadcast Quality Audio
With A Laptop

JetLink is a new software codec solution to send broadcast quality audio from point to point.

Based on the high-quality low-latency Opus codec, JetLink runs on Windows to connect via LAN, WAN or public internet.

Opus Codec

Opus is a high quality audio codec, handling both speech and music equally well. For any given bitrate, Opus is regarded as better quality and lower latency than any other audio codec around. Many broadcast codec manufacturers have already adopted Opus as an algorithm option. However, we believe Opus is the only useful codec for the future.

Try the Beta

For a limited time, you can sign up to the free beta and try it out for yourself.

We are actively looking for real-world tests, feedback and ideas. We already have quite a few people using JetLink live on-air, and are releasing new versions regularly based on user stories.

High Quality PC Audio

One of the challenges with PCs is getting good quality without an expensive array of outboard gear. We’ve had great success with the Komplete Audio 6 interface below. Look for a solution with local analog headphone monitoring, as that solves the problem of latency through a codec and PC. As usual for a remote link, you’ll need a mix-minus from your studio side.

We’ve also got the full range of Aussie-made RØDE mics and accessories on the brand new OnAir Solutions webstore.

About Logitek

Logitek Australia, part of OnAir Solutions. was formed 10 years ago and has been providing turnkey installations and Audio-over-IP consoles to both government and commercial broadcasters . We are the exclusive distributor for Logitek radio & TV consoles in Australia and New Zealand, and provide regional support as Logitek Asia.

Through a joint-venture with Logitek US headquarters in Houston, Texas, we formed a R&D center in Sydney in 2017. That saw the development of the revolutionary Helix touch-screen interface for physical and virtual control surfaces, launched at NAB 2017. The JetLink software project is another brainchild of the Sydney software facility, taking the hassle and large capex out of audio links.

Introducing the new Logitek Helix audio console.

In Partnership with Logitek Australia. Logitek has developed the Logitek Helix, it’s sixth generation of router-based digital consoles. Featuring a multi-touch interface and available in both physical and virtual editions. Helix provides users a touch-friendly experience across consoles, screens, tablets and phones.

Tap or swipe on Helix’s brilliant touchscreens to change sources, make bus assignments, or add EQ and dynamics to sweeten the mix. When your eyes need to be elsewhere while on the air, motorized faders and large on/off buttons make it easy to mix audio eyes-free.

When you’re out of the studio, Helix is easy to control from a smartphone, tablet, or laptop running any operating system. Helix meets the challenges of modern broadcasting. Which demands efficient use of physical hardware, while retaining the flexibility needed for multiple users and operational situations.

It’s a radically different approach to audio consoles.

Four products have been introduced in the Helix line:

Helix Radio is available in sizes from 6 to 24 faders. It includes a Monitor module and an HDMI output for a touchscreen meter/control bridge. Modules can be mounted in a single or split desktop frame.

Helix Television is available in sizes from 6 to 36 faders, with a Monitor module for master mixing. It incorporates two master mix buses (one 5.1, one stereo), four stereo aux buses and four stereo submasters; frame delay is available at every fader.

Helix Surface is a large format virtual console for the 28” Microsoft Surface Studio. The Helix interface fully mirrors the experience of physical Helix consoles. This allows it to be used in a variety of workflows. Helix Surface can be deployed for second control rooms, remote locations, or even as a replacement for a physical console. It presents full multi-touch capabilities on a 4500 x 3000 DPI adjustable screen.

The Helix interface also powers Logitek’s new vMix Touch. vMix Touch presents custom layouts across multiple devices and screen sizes. vMix Touch does not require a Windows PC or application, making it a true cross-platform multi-touch interface.

Coming this April to the NAB Show

Be the first to experience Helix in booth C1322.

Watch for a sneak preview of Helix on Facebook Live, Sunday April 23rd at 5:30pm PDT (Monday 24th, 10:30am AEST), direct from the NAB show in Las Vegas.
